Ever since I was little, Halloween has been one of my favorite holidays because I viewed it as the wonderful day of the year when you get to dress up and get free candy. Over the years, however, I have come to love Halloween in large part because it marks the beginning of the holiday season. In my family, what began as a simple pizza dinner with friends before trick-or-treating has evolved into a fanciful feast with creative, themed treats and appetizers. I enjoy looking at the cutest children in their innovative costumes–Frida was hysterical! The owl crackers, pumpkin mousse trifle, squash and fennel look great–hope I get to try these delectable goodies.
